New Release is available in store from 10 pm on August 5th.

Today, I am featuring this adorable birthday card created using YNS new releases "Let's Pawty" and the Bold Happy Birthday word die.

The "Lets Paw-ty" stamp set is my favorite.  The fact that it has many adorable pet images makes it ideal for creating adorable cards that everyone would love. Accompanied by many accessories such as presents, cakes, balloons and flowers, the possibilities are just endless. You can mix and match to create so many different birthday cards with just one stamp set!!

To make this card, I started off by placing the smaller of the birthday word die onto a white card stock and partial cut the words upwards 95% of the way only and used x-acto knife to trim off the sides. Then, I stamped the images above the words using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored using copic markers.

On a standard A2 size watercolour card stock, I used distress inks (milled lavender, spun sugar, abandon carol, squeezed lemonade, mowed lawn, salty ocean) to blend a rainbow background.

Both card stocks were die cut using YNS stitched rectangle die and adhered together using double sided tape and affixed onto a top folding horizontal card base.

Lastly, I added black glossy accents onto the eyes and nose to define the features and finished off by adding shimmer to the presents using clear wink of stella glitter pen.

Thank you all for stopping by. Don't forget to join the blog hop to have a chance to win amazing prizes. Hope you have fun hopping and get lucky this time !!

XOXO,
Amy

Je T'aime - Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge Entry

Bonjour everyone ! I will never forget my first trip to Paris - City of Love 💓. This place is indeed beautiful and romantic. The iconic Eiffel Tower is very majestic and classy. Today, I've decided to capture these awesome memories in a card and combining inspiration from MarkerPOP color challenge #113 and Newton's Nook Inky Paws Sketch Challenge #40. Here is my take.

For this card, I've used the classy and adorable stamp set from Newton's Nook - Dreams of Paris. Firstly, I stamped the cute kitties onto Neenah Solar White Card stock 80lbs using MFT Hybrid Hot Fudge ink as I will be Copic coloring them (inks details at the end of this blog). Then I used YNS Stitched Square dies (second and third largest) to die cut my focal panel using Neenah Solar White 110lbs card stock. At the same time, I picked some soft pink, light grey card stocks and coordinating pattern papers for my card layers.

I gold heat embossed the sentiments onto the fish tail strips and gold embossed the Eiffel Tower onto the square focal panel. To add more interest to the plain white card base, I used WE R Memory Keepers Geometric Next Level embossing folder to create some texture look.

For the inner square panel, I used MFT Premium Dye inks in Tickled Pink, Periwinkle and Sno Cone to blend the background.

To assemble my card, I glued the pattern paper and fish tails onto the embossed card base. I cut a piece of golden thread, placed it under the square panel and glued it down. I then added the square frame using foam tape and wrap the gold thread around the square panels twice and secure it with a simple bow.

For the images, I glued the female kitty, followed by the male kitty using foam tape for a little added dimension. Then, added a moustache and two hearts for some detail. For finishing touches, I've added glossy accents onto the moustache and hearts and brushed on some shine to the Eiffel tower and kitties' outfits using clear Wink of Stella glitter pen. And, my card is complete !

Male kitty
Face and body - W1, W3, W5
Outfit - BV000, BV02, BV11, BV13

Female kitty
Face and body - E33, E50, E99, YR20
Outfit - R32, RV29, C3, C5
Inner ears - R30, RV11, RV23

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have a lovely day !

Hugs,
Amy

Love at First Sight - Paper Smooches Monthly Challenge Entry

Hello Lovelies ! This month is all about LOVE. Do you believe in love at first sight ? For me? Absolutely ! I was smitten by these cute kitties from Paper Smooches stamp sets (Chubby Chums & We Adore You) that I had to match them up in a card. This is what I came up with...

I used Canson XL watercolor paper for this one layer card. There were some masking to be done as the chubby kitty has to be hidden behind the fence peeping at his love in the flower garden. First, I stamped the girl kitty (paper smooches - We adore You stampset), then masked her before I stamped the fence (MFT - Hog Heaven stampset) across the centre of the card. Finally, I masked the fences and stamped chubby cat (Paper smooches - Chubby Chums stampset). I used distress ink - antique linen color to stamp all my images because I would be doing no line water coloring.

For the thinking bubble, I cut out a cloud shape mask big enough to enclose my sentiment. I then used distress inks to watercolor the background sky (spun sugar, tumble glass, squeezed lemonade) and grass (mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade, pine needles). Then I water colored all other images using distress ink markers, stamped the sentiment using Versafine onyx black ink, added 3 little hearts and my card is done !

Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day !!

Lots of Love,
Amy

Scooting by to say HI !!

Hi stampers !! This is my first post of 2017! I'm so excited to share with you this adorable card created using two Paper Smooches stamp sets - "We adore you" and "Spiffy Scooters".

I'm back into my comfort zone and created this simple one layer card. I started off by stamping the adorable kitty onto my watercolor card stock using distress ink color antique linen. Then, I stamped the same image onto a masking paper and cut out the image. Then, I masked the kitty and stamped the rest of the images - the scooter and the exhaust fumes using the same distress ink color.

The next step is just coloring in the images using my favorite technique - Distress markers water coloring. I hand drawn a line using distress marker to create a scene of the road and the sky and colored them in the same way as the images.

Lastly, I stamped on the sentiments and the triple lines on the road using Versafine onyx black ink which is waterproof and this finishes off the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy this card. Do comment below if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Cheers,
Amy
